hate underwire bras? settle for nothing less than fit and fashion!

I am no bra expert, but I thought my advice needed to go beyond the 140 characters in a tweet. For me bras are all about the look and fit. It fits when the “girls” are lifted and the straps (shoulders and chest) fit closely to the body with no gaps. You shouldn't see any “breast meat” (LOL. You know that’s what your Mama called it too.) underneath the underwire and the back strap should be in the middle of the back, not up at your shoulder blades. If your “breast meat” bulges out underneath the bra or the bra fits too loosely around your chest, then the underwire will rest uncomfortably against the bottom of your rib cage or belly. You won't even feel the underwire if the bra fits properly, even when you sit down and your belly fat is schmushed (lol).

'sex and the city' chic meets curvy girl style
My inspiration for this shoot was the fabulous fashion of the girls in "Sex and the City". Patricia Field has created four iconic looks that have truly inspired the fashion world. It's all about taking risks, being creative, and displaying personal style. I have always dressed with these things in mind. As a plus-size woman it was necessary to be creative, if you wanted to reflect the trends and look stylish. I dressed how I felt and put together looks with the clothing and accessories I loved regardless if someone else would "get it". I needed to feel inspired. It was my personal style.

avoid vacation frustration with trendy updates
Are you frustrated with shopping for your resort or cruise vacation? I’ve offered shopping advice on how to pick a vacation wardrobe to a number of curvy girls this season. On a recent shopping trip, I literally yanked the long flowered grannie skirt and big loose fitting t-shirts right out of one woman’s hands in Ashley Stewart. Really! She needed an intervention. (BTW: She bought everything I picked out for her.)
With so many fabulous trends to choose from, shopping for vacation can be overwhelming IF you’re not sure how to rock the trends yourself. It is easy to look fabulous and feel comfortable by updating your look with a few trendy replacements. Let’s start by leaving your sweat pants, that Muumuu, and those awful baggy Capri pants at home. Girl, you are waaay too cute for that!
