Upscale soul food bistro, Beans & Cornbread in Southfield has a red hot new lounge called Red Velvet (but you didn't hear it from me).  Everyone will want to cozy up in the red couches and leopard print arm chairs in what is the newest part of the Beans Trilogy.  Washed in red light by night, you can just see a hip and cool cocktail party in the place. Voila!  Check out the image above.  It was inspired by noted African-American photographer, James Vanderzee and it will appear in print and on the net.  (After all, It is Black History Month)  Make sure to go out on Valentine's weekend, even if you don't have a date.  You might meet somebody cute.  (Sorry, I can't be there.  I'm going to FASHION WEEK!)
